This project studies the concept of rituals in everyday life. Looking into the ritual of cooking and preparing food, cooking and the preparation of food is seen more and more as the popularity of ghost or commissary kitchens grows. This design takes situ in an abandoned bar, converting it into a commissary kitchen that adds layers to the ritual of cooking. Site lines, community, and privacy are explored in this design through a lattice-based structure with varying densities and patterns to drive the connection between spaces.
